TOTOPARA  is a small village situated beside torsa river near jaldapara reserve forest. It's basically a tribal village. People of a unique TOTO  tribe live in this village. The name of the village TOTOPARA is came from the name of the tribe. One can reach this village by road from NH31 through HANTAPARA. It is a vanishing tribe. But nowadays the population of this tribe is increasing day by day. As per 2011 census of India TOTOPARA had a total population of 2960. This special tribe is found in this village only. The people of this village is educated also. A primary school was established in the year  1990  to give proper education to the children of this village. By Upama Biswas Alipurduar is a small and beautiful city of North Bengal. It is the gateway of Assam and Bhutan. Earlier it was under Jalpaiguri district but after 2014 it becomes a headquarter of Alipurduar district. West side of the town is very beautifully surrounded by Kaljani river.
